Winners and Losers

Tonight I'm going to lose the battle to stay up. A cold--resulting in a snotty nose and loads of exhaustion--has bested me.

Hold up your tissue-filled hand and say it with me:  aaaachoo! You are now officially a member of the club.

But before I lost my standing upright status and collapse into bed, I wrote names on slips of paper, folded them into tiny rectangles and drew one.

The winner of Marcia Gaye's book is...Kim. (I guess you need to figure the ratio of success before you figure the ratio of failure.

Kim--email me your address (my address is on the top horizontal bar) and I will send you the book. Groovy, huh?

  1. Glad for Kim but sad for you. So sorry you still feel punk. I just heard more snow and ice next week...about did me in thinking about it. Been so cold for two days and did not need more. Get on your feet so you can enjoy a snow day if it comes your way!

  2. Congrats to winner Kim. So sorry the sickness is kicking your rumpus. I wish you a speedy recover so that soon you will be frolicking like my rejuvenated dog Juno. Only not on three out of four legs.

  3. Those little rug rats do it to us every time! I do hope you are feeling better soon. Chicken soup broth, salt water giggles, that was supposed to be gargles! and lots of bed rest. You know who hopes you're back to your snarky self soon.

  4. Thank you, Sioux! I'll be raising my TP-clutching hand with you (I went through all the tissues already)...

Woohoo! Now how to sneak yet another book into the house with only one bookcase?

  5. Oh, our Sioux is feeling poorly. Bummer. All best wishes sent your way. Sorry you missed the meeting of Saturday Writers - it was terrific. I'd heard the speaker before and was happy to hear him again. Lots of fun and helpful info. Let me know if you'd like a copy of the slide presentation.
But congrats to Kim. I hope you are as touched by the stories in "Times" as I was.

    1. Marcia--I'd love it. I had an all-day dog rescue board meeting on Saturday. (And I'm sure Kim will...)

  8. Congratulations to Kim! So far I've missed induction into the Cold & Flu Club, and it can just stay that way. Hope you're feeling better!
