This past week I was buried under report card preparation, along with the normal work and life stuff. But I had two highlights to look forward to. On Tuesday, I took part in a panel discussion about Chicken Soup stories, and it was a marvelous evening. Great audience. Great writers. Great conversation. On Saturday, my granddaughter had a basketball game (at the crack of chicken. The game began at 8:00, and we live an hour away from where it was. There should be a law against starting a game before 10.)
The discussion on Tuesday was the sort of thing that jumpstarts my writing. The next day, I started a new submission and am almost finished with the first draft.
My granddaughter's team lost (12-10) but she played her best... which is all we want from her.
Since I'm working on a couple of big professional (teacher) projects right now, I'm going to post on Tuesdays and Fridays only. Perhaps that will give me time to work on some of my bigger writing pieces.
Previously, I posted on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. However, that's too much. I have blogging friends who post every day. I have writing friends who write a mind-blowing poem every. Single. Day. I even have a writing friend who has two blogs and posts every day on both blogs. To those writers, I bow down...
I'll see you Friday. And if you haven't played along with the Back-of-the-Book Blurb Friday gang, stop in on Friday... and have some fun.
