Memoir, Anyone?

a painting of my granddaughter; the artist is her daddy,
Jason Reynolds

A picture is worth a thousand words. And a well-written story paints a picture with words.

Memoir (and) has a call out for submissions. If you are a writer who enjoys writing slice-of-life stories, get busy. You don't have much time. The deadline is February 16, 2012.

  6. Wow! I agree with everyone. Your son has a wonderful talent. Painting/Drawing is always something I wished I could do....but my people always come out Stick-People! Thanks for the memoir news, too.

  7. Linda--Jason IS talented. And Riley DOES have the most beautiful, expressive eyes I've ever seen. But she's my only grandkid, so I'm just a bit subjective.

Mama Zen--I will pass it onto Jason. And thank YOU for the wonderful poetry you post.

Becky--Jason is my son-in-law, but if I could, I'd gladly claim him as my own. I hope you're planning on submitting a story?

  11. I'm in awe of anyone with that type of artistic talent. I'm limited to stick figures, myself, so it blows me away that someone has that wonderful perspective. And I agree...your granddaughter is a beautiful girl!

  12. Hey Lisa! Stick figures? Did you see my comment? I'm glad we share a common malady! :D
And Sioux....I will definitely look into the guidelines and see about giving it a try!
