Local Author Open House
Thursday, November 13 5:30-7:30
at the Middendorf-Kredell branch of the St. Charles' library district
2750 Highway K--O'Fallon, Missouri
636-978-7997
Are you looking for some books for Christmas gifts? Would you like to actually put your hands on some books before buying them, to see if they're what you're looking for? Do you like punch and cookies?
This event involves lots of local authors, lots of books (for adults as well as children) and refreshments. And it's free. (Of course, just try leaving a book event without at least one book purchase under your arm. I dare you!)
(I am going to be stalking a publisher while I am there...)
That's Radar (the puppy) in the foreground and Foley (the senior) in the background. Radar is almost eight months old and Foley is 13 years old. |
I like your new sidebar photo. Your pooches are cuties. Your progress amazing. Stalking??? Please do not get arrested. The WWWPs must read your WIP.
ReplyDeleteLinda--In this case, I was almost invited to do the stalking. Well, almost...
DeleteLOL @ a pony.
ReplyDeleteShay--Yeah, we laugh at him too... until he's barking at 3:30 in the morning because he wants to play...
DeleteI'm still NaNo-ing away. Just hit 27,135. Phew! I'll be glad when this marathon is over!
ReplyDeletePat
Critter Alley
Pat--Yikes! I have word envy! Congratulations. Keep the momentum going...
DeleteOh my goodness - he DOES sort of look like a pony, doesn't he?? But ponies are beautiful and so is Radar. Congratulations on your progress. I'm planning to attend the open house this week!
ReplyDeleteTammy--Be careful. If you gush too much over his good looks, I'll send him to you for the weekend... ;)
DeleteI will be sending out three submissions this week. Because last week I only sent out one. And my goal is two per week in November. They're not gettin' done while I traipse across the blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteRadar looks like Harry Reasoner, and Foley looks like Diane Sawyer. Sorry, Foley. You're a pretty boy. At least your look-alike is still alive.
Val--Three submissions in one week? I bow down to you, Val--when it comes to your productivity this month AND for all things Seinfeld.
DeleteI LOVE your new photo on the sidebar--your hair looks fabu. I think it's important to look your best when in stalking mode. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to finish up the "quizzes" that go along with the book I'm doing for the Korean education market. And yes, I know writing test questions doesn't sound hard but it's SO-o-o-o-o- hard (she whined pathetically).
Cathy--Do want some brie with that whine? ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks. Are you sure your glasses prescription is right? ;)
I have a lot of work projects this week, wanted to do NaNo but it just didn't work for me. Right now, for instance, I should be creating a final exam!
ReplyDeleteMary--I should have been working on mid-quarter progress reports this week. Tonight is my last opportunity... :(
DeleteAnd I'm sorry I committed to even a fraction of NaNo. It's slaying me...
I do love your new pic of you!
ReplyDeleteI sad NoNO to NaNo. I've spent months with nothing new to write, and just because it's November I'll be ultra-inspired. If only.
Cute pups. I bet they're very cuddly.
